The Texas Department of Insurance Division of Workers’ Compensation announced that any interest or discount provided for in the Texas Workers’ Compensation Act for the period of July 1, 2007, through Sept. 30, 2007, will be at the rate of 8.43 percent.
This rate is computed by using the treasury constant maturity rate for one-year treasury bills issued by the United States Government, as published by the Federal Reserve Board on June 16, 2007, (4.93 percent) plus 3.5 percent.
The Division also announced that its Wichita Falls office is moving. The office will close June 29 to move to a new location at Chelsea Plaza. The office will reopen at 8 a.m. on July 2 for service.
The Wichita Falls office serves Archer, Baylor, Clay, Foard, Hardeman, Jack, Montague, Wichita, Wilbarger and Young Counties.
The new address of the Wichita Falls office is Chelsea Plaza, 909 8th Street, Suite 112, Wichita Falls, Texas 76301, MS-106. The telephone number will remain 940-767-2691 and the fax number will remain 940-723-1103.
