Dallas-based McQueary Henry Bowles Troy LLP (MHBT) promoted Donnie Doan to vice president in the firm’s bond department.
In this role, he is responsible for leading, planning, organizing and budgeting for the bond department, as well as working with production staff and handling front line surety company relations to ensure the development, maintenance and efficiencies of a viable and profitable bond department.
Doan joined MHBT in 1998 as manager in the firm’s bond department. He has more than 15 years of experience in the insurance and surety bond profession, with significant expertise in the construction industry and the design of comprehensive contractor bond programs.
Prior to joining MHBT, Doan was a contract surety underwriter with Merchants Bonding Company (Mutual), where he was responsible for the bond programs for more than 300 contractor clients and bond needs ranging from single jobs to multi-million-dollar work programs.
Doan is involved in several professional organizations, serving as a board member and vice president for Region Six of the National Association of Surety Bond Producers, as well as a member of the Independent Insurance Agents of Dallas, Independent Insurance Agents of Texas, Association of General Contractors of America, Association of Building Contractors, American Subcontractors Association and Construction Financial Management Association.
