Watkins Insurance Group, a large, full-service, locally owned independent insurance agency in Austin, has been named one of the “Best Places to Work in 2008.” The company will be recognized during a banquet on June 26.
“We work very hard to ensure our employees have an opportunity to grow and achieve,” said Patrick Watkins, president of Watkins Insurance Group. “It’s one of our key objectives to create an environment with a positive atmosphere. We bring a lot of enthusiasm and focus to our clients every day.”
The “Best Places to Work” rankings are based on the results of an Austin Business Journal Survey. The survey evaluates many facets to a company’s work environment including: employee’s job satisfaction, effective leadership and the overall moral of the workforce.
Currently, the agency has 50 employees in its Austin office and 100 employees across its nine locations in the Greater Austin area and West Texas, including Cedar Park, Hawkins, Holly Lake Ranch, Longview, Marble Falls, Minneola, Tyler and Waco.
