National wholesale insurance broker Swett & Crawford has appointed Jim C. Bishop as sales leader/branch manager of the firm’s Dallas office.
Bishop has 25 years experience in the insurance industry in both the retail and wholesale segments, and extensive familiarity with the Dallas market. He most recently served as president of Dallas-based Heartland Marketing Group and Heartland Specialty Insurance.
Bishop began his career in 1983 with Aetna Casualty in Oklahoma as a property trainee.
Commenting on Bishop’s appointment, Steve Sadler, COO and executive vice president of Sales at Swett & Crawford said, “Jim knows the Texas landscape well and will be an active participant in growing our business and that of our clients. We are pleased to have him spearheading an already strong and competent team in Dallas.”
Swett & Crawford, headquartered in Atlanta, Ga., is owned by its employees and two private equity firms, HM Capital Partners and Banc of America Capital Investors.
