Three words, and his embodiment of the spirit they represent, earned owner, Richie Clements of Clements Insurance Services in Chalmette, La., a nomination for National Flood Insurance Program (NFIP) Agency of the Year by recently.
While Clements did not win the national award, Fidelity Flood Regional Sales Manager Lorna Deville said the company wanted to “recognize Richie Clements and the staff of Clements Insurance Services, for their awareness efforts and commitment to the NFIP flood program.”
“We will prevail” spoken with quiet determination expresses the spirit that Clements and his agency staff display each day as they assist the rebuilding effort in Chalmette since Hurricane Katrina devastated the town in 2005.
Through the Kiwanis Club and the Chamber of Commerce, through advertising and through the Professional Insurance Agents, Clements Insurance Services raised awareness of flood insurance among similarly determined property owners bringing his Fidelity Flood insurance business back to pre-Katrina levels and helping the property owners to protect themselves from future flood risk.
“Flood insurance is an important way each of us can protect our personal investment in our homes and in our community. Clements Insurance Services is honored to be nominated by Fidelity Flood as NFIP Agency of the Year,” said Clements.
