I say screw the levees and build a glass retractable dome. That way, not only can we keep floods out, but we can also keep out hurricanes, excess rain and in the winter cold weather. Actually in the summer we could cool the dome for everyone. Then when we need some fresh air or rain, open it up. Sounds stupid, huh? So does building in a swamp, but New Orleans did and still are. Pull the levees and move to higher ground idiots!!
