Silly me! I always thought a motorist wanting to turn left at an intersection had to yield to oncoming traffic. In Texas, if you don’t yield and cause an accident you are held liable 100% of the time.

I couldn’t believe what I was reading! Turn left in front of oncoming traffic so they’d have to slam on their brakes?

Traffic laws in CA and NV blames the car turning left 100% at fault. Been that way forever.

Welcome to the 21st century OK.

Let’s not get into the dumb laws in CA and NV. There are PLENTY of them there. As is there are still some dumb laws all across the country and a few still in OK. No state is free of stupid lawmakers.

What gets me is the wording in the article. Like this law would have saved the poor motorcyclists life? The only difference would have been the car driver getting ticketed. It would not have saved any lives. Good drivers in Oklahoma still makes left turns like the law was changed to anyway.

I guess the CA drivers can’t handle going in reverse. LOL!

if you can get pulled over for runnng a yellow light (not red) then I guess anything is possible. And don’t argue the point either. Even if the officer is wrong n his judement. I was pulled over for “not changing lanes during a turn” I don’t quite understand that. I am not SUPPPOSED to chane lanes!
