Perhaps the insurance agents of Texas should look at FEMA guidelines on flood insurance with no government authorization in place.Flood insurance is not available for new policies,old policies cannot be renewed or increased.The sale of my home in Alpine,Tx.,was scheduled for June 18,2010,but has been halted until FEMA reauthorization.
Way to go Congress for letting this lapse and further jeopardizing people’s financial welfare. Keep voting yourselves raises, super health care, keep increasing our taxes or passing laws that will do so, and keep crapping on your voters. Your decisions are costing us money. Time to vote for new people.
Nero fiddled while Rome burned. That is what our wonderful Congress has been doing. We need a complete changeover of all these nitwits in November. Our government is bloated, unresponsive and clueless.
WOW, Texas must be a special place! In Florida, my closing has been held up for two weeks. I understand that I am one of 175 closings a day held up here. Thank God I wasn’t counting on the First time home buyer tax credit on top of it. What a great way to reduce the national debit!
I’m sure our esteemed Congressional representatives wouldn’t hesitate for a second before approving another few hundred billion dollars for the Pentagon.
But keep NFIP from expiring? Nah, not a real priority.
We are all citizens of the United States of the Pentagon. Not even the tea party will talk about defense spending.
If Congress would cancel some of that Pork they hung on the Flood Insurance, it would be passed.
