National Alliance, Univ. of Central Ark. to Offer Insurance Designation

The National Alliance for Insurance Education & Research, in partnership with the University of Central Arkansas, will offer the University Associate Certified Insurance Counselor (UACIC) designation for university students, which not only provides them a designation before they graduate, but gives them a significant head start on earning the prestigious, Certified Insurance Counselor (CIC) designation.

Students successfully completing the University of Central Arkansas’s Property & Liability Insurance Course will receive automatic credit for the Commercial Casualty Institute of the CIC designation. If the student then sits for and passes the national exam for the Life & Health institute before graduation (thereby completing two of the five CIC institutes) he or she will be a designated UACIC.

The five-part CIC Program demonstrates real-world knowledge in the following areas: Personal Lines, Commercial Casualty, Commercial Property, Life & Health and Agency Management.

According to Dr. William T. Hold, president of The National Alliance, “The UACIC Program is only available at universities with insurance and risk management departments with outstanding faculties.”
