ACE Promotes New Orleans-Based Execs in Aerospace Insurance Units

The ACE Group announced new leadership appointments in its Aerospace insurance operations. Stephen Dinsdale has been appointed chairman, ACE USA Aerospace and Jerry Ruth has been appointed to senior vice president, ACE USA Airports & Special Risks. Both are based in New Orleans.

The Aerospace operations are part of North American Property and Specialty Lines Division.

ACE USA Aerospace comprises Airport & Special Risks, Satellites, and ACE’s participation in the U.S. Aircraft Insurance Group (USAIG) aviation pool. ACE USA Airports & Special Risks specializes in underwriting airport risks and aircraft owned and operated by government entities.

With a career spanning more than 36 years in the insurance arena, Dinsdale previously served as senior vice president, ACE USA Airport & Special Risks Unit. He joined ACE in 1998. Dinsdale will continue to be based in New Orleans and report to Paul McNamee, division president, North America Property and Specialty Lines.

Ruth will oversee the unit’s national management, underwriting and overall operations. With more than 20 years of aviation underwriting experience, Ruth previously served as vice president, ACE USA Airport & Special Risks Unit. He joined ACE USA in 1998. Ruth will report to McNamee.
