I’m sorry this kid got killed but throwing rocks at a cop was an invitation for violence and trouble. Rather than making his parents millionaires this should be a lesson to youngsters who assault law enforcement officials
Using a gun for some kid throwing rocks is a bit over the top. Granted, we do not know the whole story & I’m sure the video is from only one perspective, but still.
Is this a justified reaction? Kid or grown up, under any circumstances, a rock has no match with a bullet.
I guess not everyone pays attention to the news and how much violence there is at the US/Mexican borders. I guess it’s OK for the Mexicans to impose violence on our border patrol officers, but if we try to defend ourselves, our borders, and our people, then it’s a different ball game. A rock could have seriously injured this officer–in fact, it could have been a deadly weapon so although it’s sad that another teenager will not get the opportunity to live a long life, it seems to me that he should have thought things through before throwing the rock.
Seems that a big issue with todays younger generation – not consider the consequences of their actions. He dont throw a rock, he dont get shot. Not say he deserved a bullett that killed him. Maybe one in his throwing shoulder – Maybe – but not dead.

I would agree with that. Seen a rock shot out of a lawn mower and hurt someone real bad.
Nobody likes that, even me. Should have aimed for the throwing shoulder and winged him.
That rock could have putout an eye, broken a jaw, fractured a skull, crushed an artery to the head, fractured a orbit, etc. It was thrown to inflict bodily harm to the officer. We article did not tell the whole story. An officer fires his gun for one reason only, to put down whomever he is pointing the weapon at the time, not to wound, that is how officers die.
