I wish Texas would crack down harder on UM drivers. At least 6 out of every 10 accidents that happen to our insureds involve the other party being uninsured and it is usually their fault. Some may have a card, but they let their insurance go for non-payment. It is a big problem and yes we have a compulsory liability law as well.
