The students attend Huston-Tillotson University, Texas Southern University, the University of Texas Pan American, the University of Texas at San Antonio and the University of Houston – Downtown, the ICT reported.

Since the program began in 2002, the Insurance Council of Texas Education Foundation has awarded $681,000 to 329 insurance and risk management students at 10 Texas universities.
