I’ll bet the trial lawyers are big supporters of this one. This is a recipe for frivolous lawsuits and judicial chaos. It will turn into a giant money grab founded on mere politically correct misperceptions.
“President Barack Obama has made closing the gender wage gap a priority and will host a summit next month on issues facing families and women, a key voting bloc in this year’s midterm election.”
Really? I wish President Obama would explain why the women who work on his staff are paid significantly less than the men. This is according to articles in the Washington Times, Fox News, and many online blogs and websites. They make on average 13% less than their male counterparts.
I guess it is yet another do as I say and not as I do situation.
I don’t know why people are thumbing you down. It’s a factual statement that was addressed by CBS News’ Jon Karl at a WH press conference. Liberals love to paint the picture like there’s some unwritten standard to underpay women, not that there are many factors involved in determining pay.
What makes me think only liberals thumbed her down is because A) She criticized the current administration on their hypocrisy, B) mentioned Fox News, and C) seemed to be in general disagreement with the gender pay gap propaganda; which is what it is.

I think it’s women who thumbed her down, regardless of political party. Say what you will about wage discrimintation overall (and I agree there are many factors that contribute), but in this industry (and banking) gender wage discrimination is real and we have lived it. Me for over 33 years.

So, Louisiana, here’s what you do………….
Reduce the pay that all your men make! Equality. Simple.
That is an option.
Not a good one.

Destro – there are more conservatives on this site than liberals. What make you think only liberals chimed in on her comment?
FYI – I didn’t vote either way.
