Or some of that wonderful pot that is ruining Colorado. They are standing in line to get that in Denver. I think some of those UC students may have trouble finding a job because their brain is so fried they won’t be able to fill out an application.

Do you really thing people buying pot legally are not the same people that bought it illegally? It’s not like people said “Yeah! Pot is legal. Let’s smoke it!”

It’s a wonderful revenue source for the state and they will be able to do wonderful things with the money.

Since you’ve never smoked marijuana, you don’t really know much about it.

I have never smoked it Libby, but I have seen the after effects of it on a lot of people. I am not talking about people who have done it very rarely, just the ones who have to have it every day to exist. Those people are worthless and have very few viable brain cells left.

The worst addictions come from psychological areas.

If you’re going to tell me pot isn’t addictive, you’re insane. People who are high are quite addicted to the effect.

I have tried pot. And I’m just going to say it now:

It makes you care less about people and your surroundings. People will watch stupid crap happen, or bad people do horrible things, and just not care. I had absurdly high requirements on when I would intervene, and I can tell you now, when I was high, if a girl was being raped I bet you money I would have been unable to focus on that, if something else were in my immediate attention, enough to take an action. That is not to say I wouldn’t care. The drug has insane affects in regards to being only able to focus on one thing. And yes, I will call this a drug.

It makes you think you know more than you know, while when you look back on it you were incredibly unaware of your surroundings and situations. This is why those “genius pot moments” are not duplicated outside of being high. They are stupid.

And to think about someone driving while high, now that is just scary as hell. Tunnel vision. Pot does incur tunnel vision.

You can only drive high if you can get off your couch and put the xbox controller down. It’s not a narcotic like the booger sugar that conservatives enjoy. And let’s make it a fact, pot would not be an issue to the conservatives if coke was legalized. That would be a real issue. Like Confucius say, “Man who stand on toilet (Texico) is high on pot.

            Are you insane?

You really think that all people who get high just lounge on the couch?

Nearly every, single, time, the whole group goes out high and goes to taco bell, mc donalds, or the nearest swift store for food.

And in my case, a group of 3-4 cars did this. 2 flipped over a bridge. 2 out of 4 isn’t too bad right?

And us conservatives aren’t on anything. We have different opinions clearly, but you have seen my posts, and they always consist of data. You can disagree all you want, but labeling is not ok.

Now now, don’t you go all Wilfred Brimley pops, sounds like a good fable that 2 cars flipped over a bridge while smoking dope. You may have been watching the Dukes of Hazzard on TV while you were baked and the General Lee jumped over a dirt pile causing Boss Hogg and Roscoe P Coletrain to wreck. Pretty much happend in every episode coo coo cachoo. I do believe conservates aren’t on anything, unless you are talking about the coke heads on fox and friends. I think they need to be on something is more like it.

            Libby,

I know the effects of pot.

Tunnel vision does happen. Pot does not expand thought, like many of the fuck ups think it does.

They get lost thinking about what they think are all “sorts” of things. But really it is one random thing, after one random thing.

Let me give you the comparison here:

The first time I smoked pot here is what happened:

I was with my ex at the time (do you remember me talking about the really bad ex that nearly turned me gay? Yes. That one.)

She was at a party, to have sex with guys, wile telling me I had to be there, partake, and let her do what she wanted to have us work out (this is actually how most liberals think, if you aren’t doing open minded actions, if you aren’t fun, you don’t have value, you are trash and they will mistreat you, but I digress)

So here is what happened. I started telling her what affect it started to have.

Picture how stressed I would be at that party Libby. I loved her. A guy wanted to have sex with her. She fucked with him (not sex) and then he started yelling at her, in the middle of me saying what pot was like.

            I. Did. Not. Care.

He may as well not have been there, because I was in mid thought about the affect of pot.

And while he was yelling in her face,

Which she was also ignoring and laughing.

            I said

“It feels like there is a pressure in my head…A…Release…This happy pressure, and my god…I don’t care. And it feels…Good.” I smiled, for the first time in 4 and a half years (the last three and half were the worst hell you can imagine, she forced me to watch her have sex with other guys. Open minded has it’s flaws Libby, I was NOT a conservative.) And then I laughed. This guy was about to rip people’s heads off. He was yelling at the top of his lungs. And I could not focus on him because I had a main focus, tunnel vision.

I have observed those on pot, I have been on pot. It is consistent. They say stupid shit, and cannot focus. There may be one very add sequence of thought that is going on, but it cannot be controlled. This is why the dumb as fuck non repeatable conversations happen while high. And two cars flipped over a bridge on it.

You can believe that or not.

You cannot. Focus. On. Multiple things. While. On. Pot. You get tunnel vision.

As for your “this is actually how most liberals think, if you aren’t doing open minded actions, if you aren’t fun, you don’t have value, you are trash and they will mistreat you, but I digress” comment. You’re a bigot. And a stupid one at that. Most liberals do NOT think that way. AND we wouldn’t be stupid enough to date a girl that wanted us to watch her have sex with other guys. What is wrong with you?

            Stay off the weed.

It never makes you a big man, to taunt someone talking about a car flipping over a bridge, and when they respond saying fuck you, to say oooo big man!

I will get upset when someone taunts an experience that nearly left people dead.

The people driving were not drunk.

Do you remember the old commercials of a guy in a car smoking pot, he isn’t fully aware of the situation, and drives forward into a little girl?

            http://www.drugabuse.gov/publications/drugfacts/drugged-driving

THC impairs you in emergency situations that happen fast.

Let’s say for example you have a car switch into your lane and you are high and didn’t notice them.

You’re telling me that with the paranoia that can come with being high, and the ADD behavior,

You wouldn’t jump and fuck up with the steering wheel and swerve?

            Because that’s what happened.

            Read the study and weep.

You have not even looked into this, you fuck up.

And yes, I will call you a fuck up. You are going off the top of your head. Something I never do.

            TWO CARS FLIPPED.

            Two high drivers. Not drunk.

Who is stupid now? I’m quoting a real life scenario.

You wonder why I swear at you? You act like a vindictive bitch about a horrible scenario, call me stupid, call the drivers stupid, but the drug that caused it, not at fault.

Just like it isn’t the dogs. It is the owners that attack.

Yeah Libby, you are an idiot, a failure at judgment skills, and I would never want you around my kids. You would not correctly assess threat around them.

You probably would let high morons take care of them, or drive them around.

If it isn’t safe for a kid to be with someone high in those scenarios it isn’t safe for an adult.

And of course owner don’t attack. That’s ridiculous. But it is up to the owner to make sure their dog is NEVER in a position to attack a person or another dog. You can not fault the dog for acting like a dog. You CAN, however, fault the owner for not being responsible for their animal. Aren’t you Republicans all about personal responsibility.

And BTW, your continuous use of the f word just makes you look like the lunatic you are.

            Libby,

Fuck you. Again you called me stupid for bad scenarios in my life.

            To do with bigotry:

You have labeled republicans far worse. Hello Bigot! You are free to disagree, you are not free to take real scenarios and equations and call them bigotry.

All I really have to do to find out if someone is liberal is ask them a set of questions. They do answer most the same way every time. You actually proved one recently with the Trayvon Martin Case. Some traits are easy to spot. I know how you reacted as a kid to the players, jocks, bullies, in your groups. You took on the religious ones, and ignored the liberal ones. It always happens. Look back on your youth, and how many times did you let someone have sex with a good friend, and stay in the group after they dated someone else? Conservatives don’t do this. While not as extreme as my scenario, most liberals have slept with multiple people in their friends groups, and do not value what sex is, what it’s for, it is recreation.

My scenario while extreme, is something liberals accept with flying colors in comparison to right wing zealots.

There are at least equal left wing people that go into the scenarios I listed, or, barring the open relationships, do things absolutely patently absurd regarding pot or other aspects of life sexually. You cannot deny this. The left extreme is for certain this way, and the middle left, accept these lifestyles.

Let me ask you then Libby,

How many of your friends, your group, have had sex with other people in the group.

I am not referring to orgies.

I am referring to sexual lifestyles and acceptable behavior.

I am aware the republicans also smoke pot, but let me say the following: You aren’t older than me.

If you’re around a republican smoking pot, it is highly unusual for a republican mid 40’s to not be somewhat old school (which would mean much higher percentage of these people are against pot than someone up until generation Y which is 30’s to late 30’s).

            So I have two conclusions:

The oldest you can be is 45, and then you would either have immature or young republican friends, who do not represent the majority, this could explain a lot of your maturity issues.

Or maybe, you actually are in your 30s’, which I hope not based on how you talk.

But even such, given your attitude, I am starting to doubt 40’s.

But on point: Don’t tell me to grow up with how you talk. I provide sources, and now you don’t have any, and your response is that my first comment was wrong, despite me backing it up.

Then I said liberals have serious morality problems, which they do (see birth control, and yes, this is because they want to date and fuck, not marry and settle down, only one example)

But even above is not my problem with liberals. It is the general wanting to accept bullshit attitude, while saying it makes them better for accepting it.

You aren’t accepting things now, only because I am a conservative, like the typical “accepting” liar liberal.

            Accept me then Libby.

            You grow up.

In reality, liberal is a word for your mental disease. in which everyone is judgmental but you.

In my book, I actually don’t think that. I think certain thing are wrong, they don’t change, and there are things I’m not willing to accept. Others also have things they aren’t willing to accept.

And not accepting things, (conservative) is good.

No. I’m not an emotional …. in logics like you.

I mean: From the perspective of George Zimmerman, the first punch someone he suspects throws, is the only he needs to fire his gun to make sure he survives.

            Zimmerman rightfully defended himself.

Trayvon did not. He stopped to fight. His choice. He chose to attack.

Zimmerman chose to defend. The person who chooses to defend is always the one who rightfully makes an action

The one who chooses to attack is always choosing wrongfully.

And again: Following someone is not choosing to attack, it is not a form of attack, and should not have a response of an attack.

Trayvon chose wrongfully. Zimmerman chose right as soon as Trayvon mounted him.

I never said republicans don’t have sex.

            I am not a hypocrite.

I said they have different standards with their friends. It is not always sex. It is not always drugs. It is not always pot.

            But one always exists.

The likelihood of your side being ok with those lifestyles, considering you fight for them, and are more ok with them stastically, is higher.

To deny that you support birth control to fuck around ignorantly rather than in serious relationships, is idiotic.

The majority of people against birth control are married! I mean really! Come on!

            Also,

The gun was shown to be fired at an angle. This is how they proved Trayvon was on top.

How exactly do you fire upward through the chest at an angle while you straddle someone? Why would you kink the gun? They all agreed Trayvon was on top, so from there you have to take my other argument: How long would it take a skinny man to get on top of, and beat a mans head in?

And considering the man would be phased, how long would it take him to pull out his weapon?

There is no way a fight wrestle flip occurred. Trayvon jumped Martin, and held a fighting advantage due to surprise. If Zimmerman surprised Trayvon, He would not have stood a chance of getting on top. At all. Once you knock someone down on their belly it’s over.

How would you kink the gun.

You’ve got a guy you’re (supposedly on top of) smacking that gun with the fear of life away from himself, pushing away.

The gun would never face up toward his face. When he was shot if there was a struggle with him on the ground the angle would be straight down to the ground, or away from his face going at an angle.

I don’t have the same group of friends I had when I was single. Almost all the people in my current group are happily married.

When I was single, NO, not all the people in my group slept with each other. Some people in high school dated with multiple people. That’s what you’re supposed to do in high school. Whether they had sex together is none of my business and I didn’t ask.

And NO – I don’t have any old boyfriends around. Why would I? There’s a reason they are called ex’s.

And if you call me a liar one more time, I will have to rip you a new one like you’ve never had ripped. I have the ammunition. Don’t make me use it.

Trayvon was not doing anything wrong and Zimmerman took it upon himself in true gunslinger fashion to follow him and then murder him. He should have some responsibility for the result.

I don’t know about anyone else, but none of my friends (married or single) hang out with their ex’s. The one’s that have kids under 18 still have to talk to each other, but they certainly wouldn’t if they didn’t have to.

I don’t get that kind of casual sex. I don’t think you should have sex outside a committed relationship (preferably marriage). Once that relationship ends, it is exceptionally difficult to get along with the ex because their are hurt feelings and other issues that ended the relationship. What you’re describing is not anything my friends would want to do.

In fact, many couples choose not to have kids. Yes, I actually know some couples who do not want kids. They made that decision together and are quite happy. It is not the end of the world to not want to have kids. To be honest, I think my eldest child should not reproduce. He’s a good uncle, but I can’t see him with kids of his own. Thankfully, he agrees with me.

Oh I damn well do know what I’m talking about on Trayvon Martin.

The only reason you care, is ego. You want to believe some guy killed a kid because he was black, and called the police before doing it.

          Idiotic.

If you want a debate on Trayvon you will lose. And I’m not taking it up, mainly because it is insulting, and people like you that have that debate don’t deserve to walk this earth. The same I accept all behavior, just not that behavior crap.

          Trayvon started a fight.

Walking and following someone is not starting a fight. Trayvon chose while being followed to attack.

          And he died for it.

          In my opinion, rightfully so.

You do not fight your elders for checking in on you.

I had a car with a guy chase after me once, when I was running from my dad. (abusive dad). He thought I was running through a household yard because I had stolen from it.

The guy followed me with my car.

So here I am running from my dad.
Running from a guy following me in a truck (probably republican, probably had a gun) and what do I when he finally catches up to me and asks me to lift my (sweater hoodie) shirt?

I do it. Then I asked “are we good?” He said “yes, but if I see you running around again I’m calling the cops”.

Now, if guys do that, they will eventually catch a robber.

The problem, is when guys like Trayvon, do this:

YOU PROFILING ME DOG???? What are you followin’ me fo! (to quote his girlfriend)

Awwww it’s on now bitch, no one profiles and follows me!

          And then fights.

          As a man,

          EVERY

          smart man knows:

You leave. You run. You do not initiate conflict. You do not throw punches. You do not mouth off and tell the person “stop …. following me!” (not saying trayvon said exactly that or said it at all, but it is clear what attitude Trayvon had)

You assume the person has a gun. A lot of the time if they are stopping you, they are smart enough to have a method of defense.

Trayvon chose to fight. Trayvon chose to die.

There is NO (none, nada, zip) evidence that Trayvon Martin attacked Zimmerman except for Zimmerman’s own word. Not exactly a credible source.

It’s people like you and Zimbo that perpetuate violence in this country.

And there is no NADA evidence that Zimmerman attacked Trayvon.

            But as a side comment:

Zimmerman had cuts on his head. This only occurs if you are on bottom in a struggle. The cuts were in a picture.

The type of guy who slams a mans head into the ground is not fighting for survival. They are going for punishment.

Every single piece of evidence showed Trayvon was most likely the aggressor.

How exactly do you subdue a kid and shoot him in the chest, and spend time getting your head bashed in, in the course of 30 seconds?

The gap is literally that small that we don’t have accounted for. Somehow zimmerman started a fight where he was on the bottom, getting his head bashed in?

If Zimmerman ran at trayvon, Trayvon being skinny, would have fallen. And that there would be 10 seconds. After that point, if zimmerman had attacked, he would have in 30 seconds had to have been knocked off top, and thrown on the bottom. Let me clue you in: The size difference. That type of wrestling would take time for Trayvon to flip on top.

Or: Trayvon tacked zimmerman, bashed his head in, Zimmerman yelled for him to stop, then fired. Easily fits in 30 seconds. Wrestling to the top doesn’t, especially from a kid small as him (not height, skinny wise)

Incorrect on the mother comment, you would have been a hypocrite bitching about other’s behaviors while doing it yourself.

            Regarding the insult:

Making insults zingers and cool, is never cool, and is far worse than having a moment where you tell someone fuck you.

Most people who say …. you apologize.

People who make it fun and a zinger, don’t lament. They love it. They make it attractive.

I don’t make bad behavior attractive. You and Planet do.

Bullying becoming cool is exactly why kids think they can do bull crap.

Don’t mouth off to me when I tell someone that playing off an insult as a joke is a big deal.

It’s called, you accept it, you say it’s a big deal, and the person learns. If you taught your kids it was ok to insult like planet, you would be a bad mom. Assuming you have them, which based on your inept attitudes in many areas, including you prior statement, I will assume you do not.

How long would it take for some “perceived evil” to result in the rolling of tanks, army, etc. (Perry would be the most likely candidate for new “evil-doer” as a hoarded of WMDs & general war-mongerer, right?)

We can’t help it Texas is a barren wasteland and oil derricks only improve the landscape there.

As far as tanks rolling, why on earth would anyone want to invade, let alone take over, Texas? Don’t make me laugh.

Hi Perplexed. I just pulled this up and saw the chorus of insults from the left. They have nothing intelligent to say about any subject so they just start insulting to make themselves feel better. I am sure they just can’t understand how Texas keeps creating jobs while their nasty blue states keep running them off with high taxation and overregulation. They also can’t understand why some of the nations leading companies keep expanding to Texas or moving their home office here. What was State Farm thinking or Toyota USA? Hopefully, none of these idiots ever move here. Stay in Iowa or Pennsylvania or the N/E. We need none of them.

Agent, Ron has already told you he has a very cordial relationship with his father-in-law. Not everybody turns into a complete jackass because you have philosophical differences regarding politics. Must be a Texan thing. It’s only you and several others on here that make that impossible.

And unless his father-in-law reads IJ, I doubt he is scratching his head over anything posted here. Ron’s comment about being two-faced has been taken out of context and harped upon (in true Karl Rove fashion) by you ad nauseum. You know, as well as I do, that he meant he is two-faced in that he does not vote a party line. He votes for the best candidate in his opinion. You really need to stop twisting people’s words. It’s a nasty habit of yours and quite passive-aggressive in it’s nature.

            Ok I’ll bite Ron:

Who were the yahoos who went against Obama?

Was that Mc Cain, who was one of very few senators to start a housing market change to try and stop the collapse,

            Or was that Romney?

Both are better options than Obama, especially Paul Ryan being on the Romney ticket.

You are voting against republicans, because you are demonizing them, blaming them, and then refusing to let them defend themselves.

When they said the housing crises wasn’t their fault and tried to keep the people out responsible (democrats) you said that was ruining America.

When Obama and his democrats ran on that same campaign, well, you voted for the lesser of the two (same) evils. Something smells in that equation.

When Obama said Romney would have let the housing market bottom out (actually allow housing costs to correct is bad?) That was what…Romney’s mistake for replying “Yes. And the economy would have recovered”. Was he wrong? Should we keep the costs of houses inflated? Is that helping the economy? That single act alone is enough to kill Obama for. I know that sounds extreme, but do you know how many people he damned and how many decades he damned with that single action? Adjusted for inflation, the average house was 100,000 dollars in 1960 (adjusted to today’s dollars). Today it is over $200,000. The housing costs are too high. They need to adjust.

Obama was not the better choice.

He passed obamacare, something you said you didn’t like.

And this is the republican’s fault. But now you don’t want them to try and get rid of it or replace it.

            Hypocrite.

            Insanity.

Romney has binders of women and doesn’t care about 47% of Americans. Hardly leadership material.

Ryan pushed Granny off the cliff. I love my Grandma. He didn’t get my vote.

Funny thing about all the negative comments about Texas is that most of the residents of this resort community are NOT FROM TEXAS – they are YANKEES! They come down here thinking they know everything and won’t listen to local contractors that tell them not to build on a site like this.

Agent, I agree with you. Since yesterday I found out that the owner’s residence is in South Miami Beach, Florida. The house overlooking the north end of Lake Whitney was a vacation home and probably built for speculation of flipping it for a profit. As an insurance professional I am not going to bash them because they are not native Texans but, instead am thinking about the possibility of subrogating the loss. What about a professional liability claim against the engineering firm that OK’d this land for building – IF there was such a study. Also, these homes have septic tanks for their waste and not a sewer system. Did the septic tank contractor do something incorrectly that eventually caused the problem? Do they have a sprinkler system – if so, is it maintained by a contractor that was letting a leak saturate the ground and eventually cause this problem? ?????

To this day, they continue to be just that. Thus NASCAR, ‘Rasslin, high drop out rates occur and feed off the US tax payers. Sink holes will continue until the state is underwater, most likely from oil exploration, and hopefully will create the Gulf of Texico by 2020. I quote, Ron -1. “When I was first married, my father-in-law called me a Socialist and a Communist”.
      2. Your very words are an insult to me even though your confused mind does not recognize it. My success has to do with providing my customers with the best coverage and service I can provide. They are loyal and keep paying their premiums so I must be doing something right. I have an unbroken record of success for many years. What is your definition of success, keeping your job in a cubicle in NY?
      3. I am not going to do your research for you on the success Texas has had creating jobs. It is all over the internet. Why won’t your wonderful Governor Cuomo debate Perry on job creation? That challenge has been out there for a while and Cuomo is holed up in his mansion and afraid to come out because he knows he has nothing to offer on the subject just like Quinn in Illinois.

At least you now recognize that you said it back in the day. Yes, I am still insulted that you say I only care about money. I would not be insulted if you said “congratulations for your success in building a fine agency and taking care of your customers”.

I noticed that you haven’t had any problems doing research when you wanted to post something from the left or one of the bogus websites you parade around. You even put out Paul Krugman’s article and took it as gospel. Do you have Google on your computer? How about putting in job creation in America sometime and see where the stats line up.

Ok Ron, you wanted proof on the jobs. These stats are from the Joint Economic Committee – United States Congress, not your Labor Department trumped up numbers.
          1. Texas – In April, private sector employment grew by 68,100 jobs. Over the past year, Texas private sector has added 324,200 jobs. This compares to 12 months of 309,000 ending in April, 2013.
          2. New York – In April, private sector grew by 2,500 jobs. Over the past year, 83,600 jobs were added. This compares to 147,300 jobs in 2013
          3. Michigan – In April, jobs fell by 700 jobs. In the past year, the private sector has added 26,400 jobs. In 2013, 67,700 jobs were added.
          4. Illinois – In April, private sector jobs fell by 7,800 jobs. Over the past 12 months, private sector jobs added was 28,700. This compares with 2013 of 38,700 jobs added.

Do you see the difference between job creating states and states that are not creating many jobs or are in decline? It has a lot to do with governance and creating the atmosphere for growth.

Walmart creates jobs. Are they good jobs? Maybe if you are the store manager. Truck drivers probably get paid well. How many of those jobs will create, let’s use a round number of $50k in salary, not total compensation which seems to be the scam that employers play these days. You think State Farm and Toyota are going to be paying that much? Call center jobs are great for college students to gain experience, but worthless in terms of making a living on. Those are your jobs courtesy of Texico. I’d rather keep those jobs in the U.S. or India than in Texico, or should we start calling it “Toxico”.

            Agent,

So you can do some research. Impressive.

Unfortunately, listing only 1 blue state that lost 700 jobs in a month does not equate to “nasty blue states keep running them off”. We need more data to support your statement. In addition, all 3 blue states that you listed actually added jobs in the past year. If you cannot show a reduction in jobs in at least most blue states, ple3ase say so and retract your statement.

Do you know the difference between adding jobs and running then off?

I have nothing against Walmart. This is America and they can run their corporation however they see fit. However, to compare a pharamcist to the average Walmart employee is beyond ludicrous. I will give her credit for getting a good education and doing well.

Do you know exactly how many and what type of jobs State Farm is bringing to Texas? If they are customer service positions, they will not be paying those people well. How many jobs is Toyota bringing to Texas?

You mentioned how many jobs have come to Texas, but only provided 2 examples of companies that MAY be paying their employees well. If you’re not prepared to present an intelligent rebuttal with more data and facts regarding the jobs compensation, just say so and I will leave you alone.

Concealed weapons carry state – Viagara will take care of a small wank. Probably can get a gym membership for $30-$50 some gyms will even teach hand to hand combat, even the meek and feeble can go to Curves or Planet Fitness for half that price.

Great winters – no argument there

Great Fishing, – no argument there

Too many people moving there – has to be easier on the bones for the retired age. Other than that, it’s a life of ease and for those with ADD/ADHD, no lofty expectations down there there are more career opportunities especially in the stripping arts and sciences. It’s better they are down there, they can’t hack it in the North.

Considering the amount of consumer goods that have to be trucked in to Fla, there is no way EVERY truck will be able to haul fruit out of Fla. The majority will have to dead head to their next pick up.

Ron, You have criticized me for my reading skills often and you put on full display how you don’t grasp any evidence that is contrary to your beliefs. I gave you four examples, three with Blue States which have a poor track record of creating jobs and you cited only 1 who lost 700 jobs. I suppose you missed the 7,800 jobs lost in Illinois. By the way, how is it that a state like NY with about 30 million citizens can only create 2,500 jobs vs a state like Texas with a similar population can create 68,000+ jobs in the same month. How is it that Texas can create over three times the number of jobs as NY in a year with a similar population? Maybe you missed the fact that fewer jobs were created in the past year in the Blue States than the year before while Texas created more than the year before. I guess we need yet another “recovery summer” as we have had for nearly 6 years. How is that recession recovery coming up there?

Ron, I am not going to survey 50 states for you to prove my point. I picked out some prominent Blue States to show their record including your own. It is abysmal to say the least. It all comes down to governance and creating an atmosphere where jobs are created and companies feel comfortable locating and hiring employees. Progressive governance is not the right atmosphere as has been shown. When is your Governor going to debate Perry on job creation? Is he still hiding out? Cuomo, where are you?

        Agent,

You won’t do the research because every time you find data, it shows job growth in all states, even blue states.

I cannot control whether or not Governor Cuomo will or will not debate Governor Perry. More importantly, why does it matter? They should each run their state as they see fit. Our citizens care much more about employee safety, environmental protections, and taking care of our less fortunate citizens than Texas.

Ron, it matters because it will highlight what policies each state uses to create jobs and improve the economy. Your Governor has a different view with his program and we have a Governor with his program. How about showcasing these views and let the people make up their mind on whose is best? That is what debates are all about. How about it Ron? Write a letter to Cuomo and encourage him to debate Perry.

Why do people have to make up their mind between how Perry does it and how Cuomo does it?

Is there some national election (that I missed) where they are running against each other?

Wow KY, you are big time confused if you don’t realize why it is important to debate governance between Conservatives and Liberals which determine whether states are creating jobs or not. Let me simplify for you. Conservatives = job creation with incentives like tax relief and less overbearing regulation. Some cities like my own actually give companies incentives if they will hire a certain number of people in a year and in some cases have buildings in industrial parks the company can move into at reduced rent. Liberal policies are just the opposite. Taxation is very high in a lot of states, no incentives to hire and overbearing regulation. That is hardly a formula for job growth and the reason why Blue States do poorly compared to Red States. Are you getting the picture yet or are you still confused?

Ron, the last I heard on State Farm was a large expansion of the regional office in DFW. My guess is it is at least a couple thousand employees, some coming from the downsized HO in Illinois. No wonder Illinois has lost 7,900 jobs recently. Perhaps you should take a trip to DFW sometime and you can make up your mind about lifestyle, numbers of new cars on the road, the row after row of office buildings on the freeways of fortune 500 companies as far as the eye can see. I don’t know why you think Texas only has minimum wage jobs. Perhaps your Yankee arrogance is showing again. I also think that Toyota is not going to reduce salaries for those transferring to Texas and the hires they make will make good money. Toyota is highly successful for a good reason. I believe the Camry is still the number 1 car on the road. On the other hand, the government bailout of GM is not going so well and up to 14 million vehicles recalled for various defects. Those pesky ignition switches keep failing on numerous models. 13 dead from crashes so far and hundreds injured and they knew about the problem since 2001 and did nothing about it. I will never own another GM model of any kind.

People will not be moving to Planet Texico for call center jobs, they will take jobs at other call centers in their local area. I know you get off wearing a head set, and look up to these people, but call center jobs are at best a level above being part of the clean up crew at your local rub and tug or scraping fecal matter off the walls of the Alamo.

Do you guys ever get sick of attacking each other? It’s mildly amusing but also a little sad…I’m sure everyone on the board here is a reasonably intelligent person and I’m sure every single one of you is probably pretty cool if we ever were to meet face-to-face, still you insist on the insults. I don’t get it…Nobody will ever change anyone elses’ opinions by insulting them, so why bother?

For the reoord, Texas has some beautiful places, some great people, and some amazing food. It also has some places and people that aren’t so great. Then again, I can say that about every state I’ve visited. America’s pretty damn cool like that.

Life’s too short for this. I wish nothing but the best for ALL of you. Take care, smile a little extra today, do something nice for a stranger, and above all, take nothing for granted. I learned that yesterday as I got a call telling me my wife had been in an accident coming home from the grocery store. Some idiot ran a stop sign. The car is screwed up (unfortunately doesn’t appear totaled, but still going to be in the shop for 3-4 weeks). Most importantly: she was ok, and luckily my two girls weren’t in the car because one of them probably would have been hurt pretty badly. Stuff like that puts a lot of things in perspective.

Again, only the best to all of you.

Libby said: “It’s sweet of you to worry about me, Agent. I don’t mind the heat, it’s the humidity that gets to me. Plus I think the desert is beautiful. Don’t think my hubby will go for it, though.”

Libby said: “You know, Agent, I was about to “like” your comment until your last little zinger. Why do you have to do that? It’s so nasty.”

Libby said: “Agent – I really don’t want to argue about whether the desert is beautiful or not. Beauty is in the eye of the beholder and I happen to like the desert. Not everything has to be an argument.”

Ralph, you are the voice of reason. I am sorry about the accident, but glad your wife is ok. I got a scare last week myself when my 14 year old grandson came home from camp and got very sick and they thought he had Viral Meningitus. He was really sick for a couple of days and numerous tests were run. He is much better now and must have not had a bad case. 14 year olds do tend to bounce back quickly.

            Agent,

So, you have decided we should continue exchanging insults? I guess you really do not believe in Ralph’s post.

Yes, I really do want a truce. I think we really need to get away from insults and begin having civil, intelligent debates. I provided reasonable compromises and all you come back with is, “A good way to get back in my good graces is to agree more with the Conservative position instead of the pro Obama position which has proved to be disastrous for this country.” What makes you think I want to get in your good graces? I just want a civil debate based on facts and not insults.

Please list all of the issues, especially from an economic stand point, with which I agree more with President Obama than the Conservatives. If you had been paying attention to my posts you would realize the only issues with which I disagree with Conservatives are social issues (abortion, gay marriage, influence of religion in government, etc). I only voted for President Obama because I believe he was a better candidate than the Republican alternative in each election, period. In addition, I do not believe he has caused the harm to the country that many on the right have stated. Every time I have asked for data to support that position, I get anecdotal evidence, or 1 or 2 economic indicators that have deteriorated since he took office whereas I have provide several more that have improved. Do I think the economy should have improved faster, yes. Do I believe it has anything to do with who is the President, no.

You asked, “How would you feel if you opened up a blog and it is laced with insults against you or the state you live in?” I see it from every time we get into a debate. If the insults hurt so much, DO NOT OPEN THE BLOG!!!!

            Are you really that thin-skinned?

You stated, “Liberal people like you and others on this blog do not accept any evidence contrary to their agenda or that refutes their beliefs so I don’t bother with it. Bob and others has given all kinds of proof and he is blown off by the leftist crowd and down thumbed.” How are Conservatives any different? How many times have you discredited the source, even if correctly so, instead of proving your own facts and/or data? My only issue with Bob are his disrectful, demeaning, profanity laced posts, period. I respect his positions and the facts he provides, even if I disagree with him.

I have posted several times that I do respect your success as an agent. Have you ever stated that you respect my success as an insurance professional?

      Ralph,

If this isn’t the worst one I’ve seen so far! I can’t believe stuff being thrown at each other and waaay off subject of this headline article! I agree, for some reason, I found it slightly amusing, for a minute, then it just turns to be the same old song and dance that is just simply disgraceful of all involved.

Never been to TX, but I would go there and visit and I bet I would probably like it. I have been North, South, and West, can’t go any further East without a boat. And agreed, I have seen great things and crazy things everywhere I have been. Love America, all that she is! I think it’s pretty cool that we have such a diverse country. Now if we could all just be considerate enough to be respectful (NOT AGREE, JUST BE RESPECTFUL)of each opinion. We will never all agree on the same issues, that is a good thing, but really people, all it takes is a little maturity, anger management and an open mind…again you don’t have to agree with what someone’s says, but don’t you think it is reasonable to respond in a manner that shows a little respect for them and dignity for yourself.

I’ve said it before and will again, of all those that bash each other, I agree and disagree with all on issues. If your arguments were done with a little more finesse and on a level of being the mature adults we all are capable of being, your points would have much more validation to them. Bashing someone because they don’t agree with what you have to say is not the way to sway!

A great day to everyone and I wish us all success and happiness in our lives, however it may be for each.

Not really KY, if certain people would quit taking the bait from others and choose to either just not respond to their nasty posts or to respond back with a dignified answer, those that try to taunt won’t get what they want and will eventually flock to other blogs where they can continue their abusive behavior. I know we all would like to think we are professionals up here, best way to have that come across is to demonstrate it.

In reality, if we were all in a room together, face to face, I don’t think they would speak to one another the way they do when sitting behind a computer…pretty sad, total lack of respect for others and their thoughts and opinions. I have a co-worker who she and I see very differently on a lot of issues, we each say our thought on the subject and from there, one or the other may be swayed by each other’s view or we shrug it off and agree to disagree, no love loss.

I think there’s no respect because too many people take everything personally. For example, those that believe their opinion is the only correct opinion (in other words, it’s fact). These folks tend to attack at the slightest possibility that someone doesn’t agree with them. I don’t see those types heading to another blog because they can’t get a rise out of anyone.

What a treatise Ron! Are you really that blind? You voted for Obama because you thought he was a better candidate??????? Have you not gotten a big enough load of lack of leadership, governance and left wing agenda? Have you even had a hint that you made the wrong choice twice? That first 4 years should have convinced you, but appearently had no impact at all. You are not going to get rid of me on this blog. I will go toe to toe with you and any other liberal blogger every time. I really can’t help it if you don’t know right from wrong. It is who you are. We are from different parts of the country and the nation is divided, no question about that, but Conservatives are on the right side of issues about this country and Progressive Democrats are going to face the wrath of the electorate in November. Enough is enough.

      Agent,

I will NEVER know for a FACT, and nor will you, that he was the better candidate or not. It was the decisions I made at the time with the information I had available to me at the time. Senator McCain and Mitt Romney never had the chance to PROVE that they would have been better. For all we KNOW, they may been worse.

Typical Conservative compromise, “be just like me and do everything I say and we can be friends”. The country is not as divided as you think. It is a ruse put out there by the Conservative media and exaccerbated by people like you with statements like, “We are from different parts of the country and the nation is divided, no question about that, but Conservatives are on the right side of issues about this country…”

What will you say if your prediction of, “Progressive Democrats are going to face the wrath of the electorate in November.” Considering the fact that RINOs have been beating Tea Party candidates in most primaries, you may be off on that prediction. Please define what you mean with numbers so we can determine if you were right or not.

I have nothing against Texas in general, but I will not let you get away with trashing my state without some rebuttal. Every state has its positives and negatives. That is why they are all well-populated, but not over-populated.

truth be told, even if Ron had voted for Romney, I’m pretty sure Obama still would’ve won.

I think we were screwed no matter who won in 2012, as we’ll most likely be in 2016. It’s not pessimism, more like realism in this case. Sure would be nice to vote FOR a candidate instead of “Not The Other One” for a change.

PS–PLEASE don’t refer to me as The Voice of Reason. That’s way too much pressure; I’m just an ordinary guy trying to keep an open mind.

PPS–My favorite part of Texas besides the bbq and steak? Outlaw Country music. Been listening to Waylon Jennings all day and just saw Willie Nelson last weekend. He’s 81 but still rocking harder than most of us. The guy runs 5 miles a day, smokes 5 ounces, has a black belt, and has written some of the greatest songs of all time.

      Take care, all.

Hey Ralph, did you see the latest NBC/WSJ poll out today? Obama is the proud owner of a 41% approval rating on his performance as President. 37% approval on foreign affairs as Iraq implodes while he is playing golf. 54% of those polled said that he is not capable of leading the country. 46% are made up of the true believers eager to follow like lemmings into the pit. I think we have about reached critical mass on this Presidency and he is a true lame duck except for the goofy Executive Orders he is churning out. The man actually thinks he owns the Pacific Ocean now and can declare 786,000 sq miles as a marine preserve. Other nations may beg to differ with him on that proclamation.

President Obama’s lowest approval rating of 39% is still higher than President Reagan’s lowest approval rating of 35%. In addition, his highest approval rating of 76% is higher than President Reagan’s highest of 68%. Since President Reagan was a far greater president than President Obama, what does that tell us about approval ratings? They mean squat.

Can you PROVE without a doubt, based on facts and not opinion, that McCain or Romney definitely would have been better? Of course not. For all we know, there may have been even more scandals with either of them as president.

I have stated several times that I have been disappointed with President Obama. However, I have NEVER regretted any of my votes whether for Democrat, Republican, Independent, Liberal or Conservative because I believe in my heart that I made the best choice based on the information I had available at the time. that is all that I can control. In addition, there is no way to KNOW that the other candidate would have done a better or worse job.

By the way, there is a new article out today on Freedom Outpost that we were training the ISIS boys in Jordan that are now overrunning Iraq and beheading and shooting Iraqi’s in massive numbers. How is that for aiding and giving comfort to your enemy?

Gee, I thought Sadam didn’t have any WMD’s or had any plans to make them and Bush just made the whole thing up. According to the story, the chemicals found were badly degraded now and hopefully they can’t reconstitute anything to use it, but it is still hazardous material. My guess is the ISIS boys brought some of those captured Syrian chemical weapons with them and will probably use them on Iraqi’s.

Ron, do you really think the country was better off after the first four years of Obama? I will give you a pass on the first term since he pulled the wool over a lot of American’s eyes with his Hope & Change slogan and people were not paying attention or they felt guilty that the nation hadn’t elected a black man yet. On the second term, you don’t get off so easy. The Democrats who blindly followed this man down the path of Progressive Socialism are in big trouble. The unending scandals and corruption are not the kind of coat tails to be counting on. RINO’s are also having issues and Eric Cantor found that out just last week. Conservative values will be in evidence as we get closer to November. Sometime in the next few weeks, the next big rate increase on Obamacare will be hitting Americans in the pocket book. I think the electorate will respond in a similar manner to the 2010 mid terms when they put the shellacking on the Democrats only this time, it will be more profound. You just can’t have this type of governance without repercussions.

You said you had nothing against Texas in general, but you also have no praise for Texas for creating thousands of jobs and didn’t believe the disparity until I proved it to you. I will not give you a pass and let you get away with it.

      Agent,

Just once I wish you take the time to read and undersatnd my posts before finding a coople words and going on some rant.

I was better off after the first 4 years of President Obama’s term and so was much of the country. Could we have been even better off? Maybe, but better is not worse.

I have never and never will fall for anyone’s slogan. That is because it is only a slogan. My expectations of any elected official is based in reality from information I ather about all candidates. Does everyone I vote for meet my expectations? Of course not.

Once again, I voted aginst Mitt Romney because I thought he and his fellow Republicans would be a serious danger to the middle class. That is based on my own opinion.

We are in no way, shape or form on a path to Progressive Socialism. You have bought that hook, line and sinker from the Conservative media. There is no imperical evidence to prove that..

The fact that you think enough people voted for President Obama just because we had not voted for a black man yet to get him elected is nearly as ludicrous as your belief that Articles of Impeachment have not been drawn because politicians are afraid of being called racists. They have been called racists during their whole obstructionist campaign, yet they have ceased to stop.

Congratulations to Texas on creating jobs/stealin jobs from other states. Happy now?

I never said there was not a disparity between Texas and other states in job growth. I only wanted you to acknowledge the fact that blue states are also experiencing job growth and not, as you said, running them off.

Good one Ron, you are on a roll now and true to your leanings. If you didn’t vote for a slogan, apparently several million others did, especially the younger voters with their cell phone stuck to their beak. A lot of these young voters are now disillusioned because they can’t find work and their Healthcare was double or triple what they thought it would be.

You voted against Romney because you thought he was a danger to the middle class?????? How is that Middle Class faring under Obama? Are businesses hiring those Middle Class people in many parts of the country? Are incentives for business to hire a bad thing? All we have gotten from Obama is higher taxes, more regulation including the very terrible EPA who is killing jobs right and left. Have you ever read Al Sharpton’s or Jesse Jackson’s remarks on the racism they perceive and Republicans are to blame for it? Have you not paid attention to Harry Reid at all? Everything is racist to them including the Washington Redskins name that the Patent Office just revoked their trademark. Perhaps he wants the team re-named the Reidskins.

Apparently, you still didn’t get the gist of my jobs post. When a state has a negative job growth or it declines substantially over time, there is a big problem in governance. Thanks for the additional insult on Texas. We have a saying down here and we have signs up all over saying – Don’t mess with Texas.

          4. Illinois – …. Over the past 12 months, private sector jobs added was 28,700….

Illinois – Lost 7,800 jobs in April
For the states listed above, they added fewer jobs in 14 vs 13. Texas added 68,100 in same month and 324,000 for 14 vs 309,000 in 13. Since 2010, Texas has added 1,248,000 jobs to the private sector, an increase of 14.9% Are you satisfied with anemic growth in the Blue States? New York has close to 30 million people in it. Ron, I hate to tell you this, but Progressive governance sucks and that is the reason why Blue States have such a poor record for job creation. If a state creates fewer jobs than the year before, in effect the business community has no confidence in the states leadership and therefore do not hire and in some cases move their operation to friendlier states. That is a fact buddy. In Texas, 1,248,300 jobs have been created since 2010 which is shortly after the financial crisis hit the nation. How does 14.9% growth grab you?

Thanks for the additional insult on Jones. Perhaps we can get Harry Reid on his case or the NFL to force him to sell. We were hoping he would say something racists so the politically correct crowd would get on his case.

Sounds like you are being taxed out of business. That’s a plus to the country. Maybe you can open up a tax free institution like a mega church.

Sorry to tell you booger, but I am in Texas, not NY like Ron. Texas does not tax anyone out of business. That is why we create more jobs here. Our only problem is with the idiotic Federal Government trying to tax us out of business. I pay more to the Feds in taxes in a year than you make, dufus.

It’s called paying your share. Think about how Texico makes its money, who subsidizes it, and what would happen if all the subsidies went away. Texico doesn’t have enough smart native people down there to figure it out and create real jobs. Them there smart peoples working for NASA, Lockheed, ETC aren’t talking funny. They’re just not from Texas and that’s what English sounds like. I tell you what. If I need to know what gravel tastes like, I’ll ask a Texican. “That flavor is from Pecos County, this flavor is from Harris County, these are from Dagnabit County.

Thanks Ron for not reading or understanding my question. I didn’t ask you whether you were better off in the first 4 years of Obama. Why is this about you? Let me try one more time since my patience with you is wearing thin. DO YOU THINK THE COUNTRY IS BETTER OFF UNDER OBAMA AFTER THE FIRST 4 YEARS?

Do you think insulting people that do not think like you is a solution? You complain about how divided the country is and your ONLY solution is to try to convince people to believe everything you do by putting them down.

        Agent,

As I have answered that question multiple times in the past, YES I DO!!! And most data and statistics support that position. Do I also think we could be even better off if someone else was president, yes. Do I also think the country could be worse off if someone else is president, yes. There is absolutely no way to PROVE what the country would be like if someone else is president, period.

OK, it’s hereby resolved–Obama sucks. We’re still stuck with him for the next two years (and, unless the Republicans can find someone better, most likely Hillary). It’s reality, and there’s literally nothing you can do but accept it. I take it back–you can sit around and be angry about it, but it won’t do you a damn bit of good.

Now what? You want to impeach him? Two words: Joe Biden. Guy makes Dan Quayle look like Albert Einstein. Remember what happened to Slick Willie when he was impeached? He became more popular than ever. If you want to try and impeach Obama, you’re going to have a sh*tstorm on your hands the likes of which the Republican party has never seen, and it will virtually guarantee a Democratic win in 2016. You think people call anyone who disagrees with Obama a “racist” now, wait and see what happens if they tried to impeach him.

I’ve said it before, but the vast majority of Americans don’t consider ourselves Liberal or Conservative. Life isn’t always black and white; there are many shades of gray.

That’s it from me. I hope everyone has a great weekend. Get out and enjoy it if the weather’s nice. Hug your loved ones just a little tighter. Smile at a stranger. Listen to some good music (Willie’s always a good choice), or watch a funny movie. Just enjoy it, and take nothing for granted.

I agree with you partially Ralph. I agree that we are stuck with him for two more years and he is basically a lame duck except for the goofy executive orders he is churning out which can be overturned by the next President. MSNBC’s Chuck Todd says it is over now and they have been the biggest cheerleader for 6 years. You made a funny comparison with Biden and Dan Quayle. The left mocked Quayle unmercifully and he looks like a genius compared to Biden.

You are also right that the left wing media, Al Sharpton, Jesse Jackson, Pelosi, Reid would crucify the Republicans for racism if they tried to impeach for all the High Crimes & Misdemeanors this President has done. He gets a complete pass because he is the nation’s first black President. If the nation really wanted a good President next time, they should pick Dr. Ben Carson and stay away from Progressive Socialists. We have had enough of them to last a lifetime. Have a good weekend as well.

Dr. Ben Carson is less qualified than Obama to be President! At least Obama was a lawyer and a senator. Carson is a M.D. Just because you follow his ideology is no reason to vote for him as POTUS.

I all Conservatives have your level of judgement, I am scared. You shouldn’t be allowed to vote.

            Agent,

I have asked before and never received a response. I have tried to find information regading the complete presidential credntials of Dr. Carson, but have come up empty. Since you are his biggest cheerleader, maybe you can provide some insight.

Please provide information on the following:
            1. Position on social issues
            2. His specific plan for improving the economy
            3. Foreign relations experience
            4. His plan on working with Congress, especially if at least one of the houses is controlled by Democrats
            5. His plan on handling, North Korea, Irag, Iran, Syria, Afghanistan, and Pakistan.

Being president takes a lot more experience than just overcoming socia-economic difficulties to become successful, as we have seen with President Obama. I guess I just want to know, outside of being Conservative and working in the orivate sector, how his experience is muh different than President Obama’s.

I await your irrelevant rant that you are going to make in order to not answer my question.

Enjoy those gasoline prices KY. There is nothing like a Middle East conflict to make the prices higher. We should be drilling 24/7 in all parts of the country and become totally self sufficient in energy and then we can thumb our nose at the Middle East and let them fight it out for supremacy.

It doesn’t take a Mid East crisis to increase oil prices. If Romo blows the game at the last minute, all the wealthy oil barons in Texraq lose money from their gambling and texicoke addictions and have to figure a way for them to pay off their bookies before the bookies rat out the oil barons about their trysts with a certain South Carolina senator.

FFA, what is gas running up there in Chicago? Is it over $4.00 yet? It has been hovering around $3.50 down here and we are in the middle of oil and gas country. Of course, it would be cheaper if we didn’t have to add that expensive ethanol Planet likes so well and our cars would run better and get better mileage.

We need more pasty whites in the white house. It is called the White House for that reason isn’t it? That’s were the Party of No used it as their frat house wasn’t it? Places everybody and get your jazz hands out. New conservative values will be place on everyone. Better learn how to tap dance in an airport bathroom and prey on young congressional pages. Government jets for everyone to fly to Brazil to meet up with their lover while your wife is home with the kids.
