This was an inside job. It is all about politics. I submitted my top CSR for that award and she could run circles around the Personal Lines CSR that won. It is not about work product or how productive a CSR is, it is about community involvement. I will not bother to enter our CSR again, it is a joke.
How do you know your CSR can “run circles” around this person? That’s a pretty big statement. And how could you possibly know about her work product or productivity unless you work in the same office.
That is not how the award was set up according to the entry form. My CSR handles a large volume of Commercial Lines, is the Office Manager, Accounting Manager paying all the bills, staying up with Commissions for a number of carriers and paying producers, keeping all the records etc. I think she is vastly more qualified for CSR of the year than a Personal Lines CSR.
Plus she has to deal with you on a daily basis. I agree, Agent’s employee is hands down the better choice and should be rewarded as such. Sounds like you aren’t doing your duty and bringing in jobs to Texico as she should be relieved of some of these duties. Or better yet, if you weren’t commenting on every post in a political format, you could actually run your office. Let’s hear it for Midge!!!
Agent, sounds like the gal you nominated is more then a CSR. The qualifications you describe probably took her name out of the running as this seems more like management duties. Not taking anything away from your gal. Her duties fit the definition of Agency Manager more then CSR.
To all you folk that dont know your local competition, you would be wise to familiarize your self with the other local agents – independent and captive.
I know her personally and she has handled accounts for my family. Kelly volunteers her personal time and is extremely professional. She MORE than deserves the award. Sour Grapes….you had sour grapes today, huh????

Think you missed the point Lyttle Fan. I was not taking anything away from the award winners, just responding to Agent’s post.
I’m surprised that Agent took the trouble to nominate his “girl”. He has no respect or gratitude for “cube dwellers” as he calls them.
