I am always amazed by the “slap on the wrist” penalties in these cases. she is getting away with $20k a month, in addition to her room and board, for the next 2+ years. I will bet anything there is virtually no restitution, because the money has been spent either gambling or on drugs. or both.
No matter how smart a thief thinks they are, they eventually get caught. She worked for them 25 years and then did this???? I would think she made a very good salary in her position. I am with you Steve that this money may well have been spent in the casinos either in Mississippi or Bossier City, La.
The article says the case was investigated by the FBI and IRS, so Blair will no doubt be subject to taxes on the money stolen. I saw in another article she was ordered to pay $551,343 restitution to Tyson Inc. Whether they get it is another story.
