I am sick and tired of scrupulous insurance agents who give others a bad name. I have no mercy for these types of agents or agents who do not put clients interest above theirs. I am sure quite a few of other agents will agree with my thoughts.
Jack, if this agent were scrupulous, she wouldn’t be in any trouble. Good to see that this sorry individual is given some serious time instead of a slap on the wrist and a fine like we see on a number of other cases.
For every story of agent fraud in Texas, there are at least 10 in Florida. Do you have ethics courses in Florida to keep a license? If so, not many are paying attention to them.
With the impending incarceration of this agent, fraud by agents in TX has ended. What are the IA E&O rates like in FL and TX these days? If E&O pricing actuaries are any good, and I have no reason to think otherwise, that will tell us plenty about the risk of getting an Agent Maxwell NotSmart in each state.
Depends on your agency location. If you’re inland Texas, rates are fairly average. If you’re coastal Texas and especially Harris County, rates are higher. But not as high as Florida.

*unscrupulous
Actually, if you unscramble the letters Azfar Haque they spell Celia Castillo, so I think it is scrupulous.

There we go again. Another TX agent getting in trouble. When will the fraud come to an end in the LoonStar state?

“Agent Commits Fraud in Texas”
I read that headline so often I bet the newspapers keep it as a saved file. You just choose the font size and plug it in.
FPF, I agree. Not sure what’s going on in TX these days but it really seems to have deteriorated.
