The NeighborWorks® National Insurance Task Force announced it is offering the Certified Community Insurance Counselor Training Program on October 25, 2002, in Decatur, Ga. There is no charge for the training program.
The community counselor program trains employees of community-based organizations to educate consumers about insurance, how it works, and how to effectively manage potential risk. The course is ideal for home-ownership counselors, insurance counselors, loan officers, community-based organization executive directors, and marketing specialists.
Participants will gain:
Increased knowledge and understanding of how insurance works;
Skills and resources needed to develop insurance education seminars locally; Better understanding of how to effectively address the insurance needs of the community; and Certification as a Community Insurance Counselor from the National Insurance Task Force.
