The medical malpractice insurance task force created by Florida Governor Jeb Bush has scheduled a second meeting for November 4 in Miami. A previously announced meeting of the Governor’s Select Task Force on Healthcare Professional Liability Insurance is set for October 21 in Orlando.
Among other things the task force has been directed to study Florida’s healthcare liability insurance market, and make recommendations and/or propose legislation to ease the liability insurance crisis faced by the state’s physicians, hospitals and other healthcare providers while protecting the access of Floridians to high-quality, affordable healthcare.
