The South Carolina Captive Association Inc.’s (SCCIA) Third Annual Educational Conference was approved for 10 hours of continuing education (CE) credit by the South Carolina Department of Insurance. The SCCIA said the department also approved four hours of CE credit for the association’s “Captives Academy” seminar that is being held in conjunction with the Annual Conference.
The Captives Academy seminar is scheduled for December 4, 2002 and features a panel of experts who will cover basic information about how captive insurance programs and risk retention groups operate.
The full conference, scheduled for December 5-6, 2002, offers more advanced educational sessions. Both educational events will be held at the Charleston Place Hotel in Charleston, S.C. Complete program information can be accessed on-line at www.sccia.org.
