Alabama Governor Bob Riley appointed Donald K. Fisher, a former insurance manager in Montgomery, as the assistant director of the Alabama Department of Industrial Relations. According to the department, Fisher began his new duties Jan. 27.
Fisher said he is honored to have been selected and to be working for an agency so crucial in creating a positive economic environment for Alabama employers and workers.
“We’re excited to have an assistant director of his caliber to work for our agency,” said Phyllis Kennedy, director of the Alabama Department of Industrial Relations.
Fisher has 28 years of experience in the insurance field working for companies that provided alternative risk management, specialty insurance programs, third party claims administration, and casualty and group health claims.
