The Alabama Department of Insurance announced that agency representatives will visit the Shoals area on March 12 to meet with citizens to answer questions their regarding insurance issues.
The meeting will be held at Florence City Hall auditorium. The meeting will last from 1 until 4 p.m. The meeting will begin with a presentation from insurance department officials, then the officials will spend the remainder of the time answering questions from the public.
“Our office is in Montgomery, but it’s rarely possible for citizens to come to our office,” said Commissioner Walter A. Bell. “We’re always available by telephone, but we realize that face-to-face contact is important. That’s why we’re coming to the Shoals. We think this can be beneficial for all citizens, but we think it is especially so for seniors.”
Some of the insurance-related subjects in which department staff members will be available to answers questions to include health, automotive, life, annuities, homeowners, disability, business, Medigap and long-term care.
