Florida’s Brown & Brown Inc. announced it acquired Entertainment & Sports Insurance Experts Inc., a commercial property and casualty insurance agency based in Atlanta, Ga. The transaction was consummated March 17, 2003 but is effective Jan. 1.
Entertainment & Sports Insurance Experts has annualized revenues of approximately $1.25 million and specializes in providing insurance products and services to individuals and businesses in the professional and amateur sports and entertainment industries. Mike Price, manager, along with Kelly Price and their staff will continue to operate under the ESIX name as a stand-alone business unit within Brown & Brown’s existing Atlanta profit center.
Brown & Brown president and COO Jim W. Henderson noted, “Mike, Kelly, and the ESIX team fill a unique niche within the insurance industry. We are extremely pleased to have them join our family of insurance professionals. Their addition opens new doors of opportunity and enhances our product and service capabilities.”
