Expanded agent licensing information on affiliated individuals is now available online at Kentucky Department of Insurance’s Web site. Insurance Journal ran this news on June 4, 2003, with Tennessee in the headline instead of Kentucky. IJ regrets the error.
The Kentucky department said for privacy and security, this information is secure and can only be accessed with a username and password.
Insurers or business entities can view:
· Examination information: when and where an exam was scheduled (Pass/Fail/No Show).
· Status of an appointment, active or pending, and why the appointment is pending.
· Status of a termination with its associated reasons (financial responsibility, continuing education, renewal payment, and no proof of other resident state license).
· Bad addresses for individuals and business entities.
The online secure system is accessible from the Department of Insurance home page (Agent Licensing > Online Information) or by clicking https://doi.ppr.ky.gov/Kentucky/secured/system/.
