Representative Don Brown, District 5, was recently awarded Professional Insurance Agents of Florida’s (PIA) Excellence in Government award. PIA’s Excellence in Government Award is based on professional competence, high ethical standards, and overall contributions to the industry.
According to the PIA, Rep. Brown has worked tirelessly for all Floridians. He believes that people working together can achieve great things and that’s what he worked for this year—notably his work on the balanced budget, and making workers’ compensation and personal injury protection auto insurance affordable for Floridians.
Sergio Gonzalez, president and owner of S.G. and Associates Insurance Brokers in Miami, was recently awarded Professional Insurance Agents of Florida’s (PIA) President’s Award.
PIA’s President’s Award is based on professional competence, high ethical standards, and overall contribution to the industry.
Gonzalez is a veteran of 40 years of industry service. His insurance career includes experience with the Florida Department of Revenue, work with the Sadu Insurance Agency, and the establishment of his own agency in 1983. He has been a member of the Latin American Insurance Agents, PIA of South Florida, and the National Association of Life Underwriters.
