CATEX announced that MGU Savannah Reinsurance Underwriting Management, LLC, a member of the Georgia-based Palmer & Cay group of companies, has agreed to license a CATEX web-based Reinsurance Transaction System based on the CATEX proprietary Pivot Point Technology.
Pivot Point technology allows deployment of an entirely web-based system and permits an MGU to manage all aspects of its business on line, any time, from any location in the world.
Savannah Re reportedly plans over time to allow clients to access their own information on the Pivot Point System. This is expected to speed business interactions and allow more comprehensive relationships than has been available in the past.
J. Kevin Brawley, president, said, “We are excited by the capabilities
this system will give Savannah Re to better serve our clients. We hope to be able to build a much more comprehensive relationship with our customers than was possible in the past, and Pivot Point will go a long way to make this possible.”
Savannah Re will also utilize the Pivot Point System to manage
underwriting and transaction data coming from clients including intermediaries and reinsurance purchasers.
The CATEX Pivot Point technology has been developed using exclusively Microsoft technology and provides the full range of transaction components for a reinsurance transaction as managed by an intermediary or managing general underwriter. The technology may be used as a standard product or customized to accommodate specific client request.
