Florida-based Brown & Brown Inc. announced the election, by unanimous vote of the Board, of Hugh Brown, founder, president and CEO (Retired), of BAMSI, Inc., of Titusville, Fla., to Brown & Brown Inc.’s Board of Directors, effective March 15, 2004.
Commenting on Hugh Brown’s talents, J. Hyatt Brown, the company’s chairman and CEO, said, “Hugh has long been a proven advocate of success achievement through a ‘can do’ attitude. He believes in the ethic of hard work and treating people with respect, which makes him an appropriate addition to our Board. He exemplifies our culture and will provide valuable counsel as we continue our program of exceptional growth.”
Hugh Brown founded BAMSI, Inc., a full-service engineering and
technical services company, in 1978. Under his leadership, BAMSI was consistently recognized as one of the most successful privately owned engineering and technical services firms in the Southeast.
