Tennessee-based Sedgwick Claims Management Services Inc. (Sedgwick CMS) and XL Insurance (XL) have entered into an agreement whereby Sedgwick CMS will provide claims administration services on behalf of XL for selected primary casualty insurance programs underwritten by XL.
The non-exclusive arrangement includes workers’ compensation, commercial automobile liability and commercial general liability insurance programs. The resulting collaboration will reportedly enable both companies to serve additional clients.
“Sedgwick CMS looks forward to working with XL Insurance in offering another significant risk management option to U.S. businesses,” said Robert Peterson, executive vice president and director of client development for Sedgwick CMS. “The combination of XL’s underwriting skill and capacity and Sedgwick CMS’s expertise in the delivery of claims and managed care services equips us to provide creative solutions for large and sophisticated insurance buyers.”
XL Capital Ltd, through its operating subsidiaries including XL Insurance, is a provider of insurance and reinsurance coverages and financial products to industrial, commercial and professional service firms, insurance companies, and other enterprises on a worldwide basis.
