Atlanta-based Crawford & Co., an independent provider of claims management services, has mobilized a catastrophe team in response to the Dec. 26 tsunami that devastated Southeast Asia. The company is an independent provider of claims management services with a global network of more than 700 offices in 67 countries.
Crawford & Co. has assigned local catastrophe teams in Thailand and Malaysia to go into the affected areas and determine the extent of the damage. A company spokesman said that further resources will be dispatched as soon as more information is available and they determine what assistance is needed.
In addition, adjusting staff from Crawford & Co.’s Singapore office are also on their way to the Maldives to look over the situation and deal with claims there.
