Cowan Benefit Services Adds Garner Insurance

Cowan Benefit Services Inc. of Franklin, Tenn. has acquired Garner Insurance Services in Murfreesboro. Terms of the acquisition were not disclosed. Cowan is one of the largest full-service employee benefit brokers in the southeast.

According to Matt Cowan, president, the deal brings another portfolio of clients to Cowan and follows a November deal that saw Brentwood-based Group Insurance Consultants Inc. brought into the Cowan fold.

Cowan was formed in 1991 to provide benefit services to employers. Services include benefit consulting, insurance brokerage and benefit plan administration. Cowan’s benefit services include benefit consulting, insurance brokers and benefit plan administration.
Cowan’s employees are all experienced benefit experts with varied backgrounds, including insurance company reps, insurance brokerage specialists, and corporate human resources directors.
