Louisville, Ky.-based Neace Lukens Insurance has acquired Integrity Insurance Agency, a Lexington, Ky.-based agency that specializes in employee benefits. The acquisition is effective immediately and according to Douglas A. Stough, Neace Lukens president, will expand the company’s reach into the employee benefits market.
Integrity’s nine employees will move into Neace Luken’s office on Palumbo Drive and join its 20 employees there.
Pete Corrao, Neace Lukens’ director of employee benefits for Kentucky described the acquisition as “a good match,” saying it will strengthen the company’s presence in the eastern part of the state.
“The timing was right and I think they were looking for a broker with our size that had the property and casualty side also,” Corrao said. “They’re all benefits, and (the deal) will help them round out their business.”
Neace Lukens is Louisville’s largest independent insurance agency with about 300 employees in seven offices in Kentucky, Ohio and Indiana.
