The Main Street America Group is the title sponsor for the Murray Bros. Caddyshack® Charity Golf Tournament on May 12-13 at the World Golf Hall of Fame in St. Augustine, Fla., to benefit the St. Vincent’s Foundation of Jacksonville, Fla.
The fifth annual charity event, hosted by Academy Award®-winning actor Bill Murray and his brothers Andy, Bryan, Joel, Ed and John, is expected to raise $100,000 to support St. Vincent’s Mobile Health Outreach Ministry (MHOM). The MHOM is a “doctor’s office on wheels” that provides free medical care to thousands of needy children and adults who live in rural communities and inner-city neighborhoods throughout Northeast Florida.
“The Main Street America Group believes in being a leader and vital partner within the communities where we work and live,” Tom Van Berkel, Main Street America’s president and chief executive officer said. “We are proud to support such a worthwhile cause as the Murray Bros. Charity Golf Tournament. St.Vincent’s mobile program does great things for disadvantaged people in our community who are uninsured and who would not have any health care without this effective and innovative method of medical outreach.”
Approximately 50 entertainment and national sports celebrities are expected to play in this year’s tournament. The festivities begin on May 12 with a pairings party and silent and live auction, at the Murray Bros. Caddyshack restaurant at World Golf Village. During this event, tournament players will have a chance to bid on celebrities they wish to add to their foursomes, as well as luxury items and trips.
The golf tournament takes place on May 13 with morning and afternoon flights on both the Slammer & Square and King & Bear championship courses at World Golf Village.
