The Independent Insurance Agents and Brokers of South Carolina announced its 2005 industry award winners during the recent 107th IIABSC Annual Convention.
The 2005 Hayne P. Glover, Jr. Agent of the Year is John T. “Tommy” Cook, president of John T. Cook and Associates, Inc. in Myrtle Beach, S.C.
The recipient of the 2005 Young Agent of the Year award is James E. Mishoe III of AAI of Peoples Underwriters, Inc. in Conway, S.C.
Industry Person of the Year for 2005 is Leland C. “Lee” Ruef, president of Independent Insurance Agents and Brokers of South Carolina in Columbia, S.C.
The recipient of the 2005 AAMGA Achievement Award, sponsored by the American Association of Managing General Agents, is Kathy D. McKay of McKay, Stelling & Associates in Mt. Pleasant, S.C.
The Independent Insurance Agents and Brokers of South Carolina, with statewide membership of approximately 395 insurance agencies and branch offices is the state’s oldest and largest association of property and casualty insurance agents.
