Insurance House of Marietta, Ga. has opened a new Durham, N.C. office for Deering & Assoc., its wholly-owned subsidiary. The move more than doubles the size of the original office. Personal lines will be managed from the company’s Winston-Salem, N.C. office.
“Over the past year, Insurance House has outgrown its Durham office,” Elena Leming, Insurance House vice president explained. “The new 8,000 sq. ft. space will house all commercial lines operations for North Carolina, Virginia and South Carolina.
“The new location in the Research Triangle Park area will allow Insurance House to service its portfolio of agents and business more cohesively,” she said. “It will also allow the company to hire qualified professionals in the RTP area, which is the home of Duke University, North Carolina State and the University of North Carolina at Chapel Hill. This access to recent graduates will prove invaluable to our team as the company grows its practice throughout North Carolina, Virginia and South Carolina.”
Insurance House is an Excess and Surplus Lines managing general agency and broker serving independent retail insurance agents and brokers in the southeast.
The new facility will have a training center, more common areas, a large reception area and more employee break rooms. The new office will be at 1007 Slater Road, Suite 210, Durham, N.C. 27703-8057, phone (919) 383-9439.
