A small agents’ association, Associated Agencies, based in Aberdeen, N.C., has been acquired by the Professional Insurance Agents of North Carolina.
Associated Agencies was formed in the 1980s by Jimmy McElreath.
“Associated Agencies members will now have full access to benefits, not only from PIANC, but also from the National Association of Professional Insurance Agents,” James M. Kennedy, III, PIANC executive vice president, said. “This is a good fit for PIANC and we look forward to working with our fellow Associated Agencies agents and providing them with resources that they can now use through PIA.”
