Atlanta-based Builders Insurance Group has introduced builders risk insurance offering the Georgia home-building community complete coverage from loss, damage or theft of property while under construction.
The product offers enhanced convenience and flexibility through a web-based platform, enabling insurance agents and home builders to easily access and manage their policy online.
“We’re pleased to offer our agents and policyholders builders risk insurance that provides competitive pricing, comprehensive options and adaptable coverage,” Marc La Palme, senior vice president of Emerging Markets for Builders Insurance Group said. “What sets our product apart is the seamless marriage of reliable and easy-to-use online tools with outstanding customer service.”
Builders Risk provides residential general contractors and remodeling contractors with coverage for partially completed structures, building materials, temporary structures such as scaffolding, paving, landscaping installed by the builder and more. In addition to standard coverage, many options are available to easily customize each policy to meet individual needs such as deductible choices and coverage of model home contents.
Builders Risk is available for residential and small commercial structures of up to three inhabitable stories and eight units; remodeled homes; and completed unsold dwellings.
Builders Risk compliments two other Builders Insurance Group products, workers’ compensation and general liability. All three solutions are available through independent insurance agents appointed by Builders Insurance Group.
