King of Prussia-based MedRisk Inc. has announced that Michele Avila has joined the firm as director of client strategies based in Tampa, Fla. She will work closely with sales, marketing and account management to design and develop outcome studies, benchmarking metrics and strategic cost initiatives for workers’ compensation clients.
A MedRisk spokesperson said Florida is an important market in terms of existing and prospective business. Avila will live in Tampa to develop and maintain Florida partnerships.
Avila has almost 20 years experience to the position. She was most recently senior manager of strategic outcomes for Broadspire Services. She previously held management positions with Concentra Managed Care, Travelers Property-Casualty Corp., and Rehabilitation Counseling Services.
MedRisk provides specialty managed care services along with claims workflow management tools to the workers’ compensation industry.
