On the afternoon of Friday, October 6, the family and friends of Katie Froeschle will host the First Annual Katie Froeschle Memorial Golf Tournament at the Heritage Harbor Golf & Country Club located in Lutz, Florida just north of Tampa. The evening will culminate with a dinner reception, silent auction, and awards ceremony.
This event is the primary funding source of the Katrina Anne “Katie” Froeschle Memorial Scholarship Fund at Florida State University.
Froeschle was murdered while adjusting a property claim for hurricane damage in November 2004. She was a graduate of the Finance and Risk Management/Insurance programs at Florida State University. The fund has been established by her parents and two younger brothers to award annual scholarships in her memory.
Their goal is to make the FSU educational experience available to more students interested in focusing on the Risk Management/Insurance, Real Estate and Business Law fields. It is through funds raised at this event that we will ultimately be able to achieve that goal.
For more information on the event and how to become a sponsor, contact Joe Laurino, Corporate Sponsorship Chair at (727) 420-5255
To register to play in the tournament, contact Kristan Long at (813) 817-2518.
