Insurance broker Appalachian Underwriters will double its Knoxville-Oak Ridge Innovation Valley, Tenn., presence to more than 300 people over the next three years, company officials announced.
As part of the expansion, the company has moved to new headquarters in Oak Ridge.
About 60 percent of the employees in Appalachian Underwriters’ new headquarters are administrative personnel, and the rest are underwriters, according to Tagge Stroom, director of corporate development.
Appalachian Underwriters is a wholly owned subsidiary of Insurance Service Group of Clinton, Tennessee.
