West Virginia officials said a Braxton County man pleaded guilty to one misdemeanor count of fraudulent schemes.
According to a West Virginia Department of Insurance announcement, Fred Lee Morgan, 61, of Frametown, used his wife’s insurance to pay for medications and then sought reimbursement from his former employer who is financially responsible for his medical benefits. Morgan is an employee of the West Virginia State Police.
Morgan was sentenced to one year probation and ordered to pay restitution.
