In an effort to make the Mississippi Insurance Department more accessible to the state’s coastal residents, Mississippi Insurance Commissioner Mike Chaney opened the department’s new office in Gulfport, Miss.
“The department is opening this office full time, as a service to consumers who have questions or complaints about insurance,” Chaney said. “Coast residents need a local office that is accessible to them to address insurance problems. By being on site we can do our best to help them resolve those problems more quickly.”
The office is located at 1701 24th Ave. in Gulfport, across from the courthouse.
