Update: Largest Florida Insurers Report Homeowners, Auto and Flood Claims

Insurers continue to tally claims from Tropical Storm Fay after its fourth landfall occurred on the Panhandle.

The Florida Office of Insurance Regulation compiled and released the latest numbers from some of the state's highest volume insurers.

As of 8:30 a.m. on Aug. 24, Citizens Property Insurance Corp. reported 1,714 homeowners' claims.

State Farm reported 4,245 homeowners' claims, 812 auto claims and 571 flood claims through the National Flood Insurance Program as of 2 p.m. on Aug. 23.

Universal Property & Casualty reported 791 homeowners' claims as of 9 a.m. Aug. 24.

USAA received 790 homeowners' claims, 125 auto claims and 105 flood claims through the National Flood Insurance Program by 11 p.m. on Aug. 23.

OIR said Allstate is still not yet reporting claims received for public disclosure, per corporate directive.
