Itasca, Illinois-based Associated Risk Managers is implementing expansion efforts across the Southeast, beginning with Florida.
According to ARM Chairman, Larry McSpadden, ARM members Lewis Maddux and Danny Gleason teamed to promote and expand the Florida ARM membership. With extensive property & casualty experience, and independent agency relationships throughout the state, the two will campaign in Florida and then deploy their expansion model throughout Georgia and Tennessee, McSpadden said.
Other efforts extend to the Carolinas where ARM board Secretary/Treasurer Dick Simmons of Virginia and ARM member, Bill McClure, are making rounds to candidate agencies.
The traveling members planned a series of road trips — first, to provide information to prospective ARM members — and then to assess their needs and interests.
Gleason says ARM is looking for strong agencies located in key economic centers throughout the region.
Simmons said the team’s efforts yielded nearly 25 prospective agencies prior to approaching Charlotte, N.C.
