Quaker Special Risk, an independent full service wholesale brokerage firm, has opened a new regional office in Duluth, Georgia.
Jake Terrell, with 14 years of direct underwriting experience, will lead and manage the Southeast regional office for Quaker Special Risk. Prior to joining Quaker, Terrell was with Maxum, Aon and DPIC. he also worked as the risk manager for the Self Insured Risk Management Pooling Programs for the Georgia County Association, where he helped create a Vermont domiciled captive.
The new regional office will be a full service wholesale broker, handling professional liability (E&O and management liability), casualty and property coverage.
Terrell is being joined by Kris Dobbins and Joan Lee. Dobbins comes from a casualty underwriting background. Lee’s expertise is in professional liability and support services.
The Georgia office the firm’s fifth; its other offices are in New Jersey, New York, Massachusetts and Florida.
