MetLife Auto & Home reported that it that it has received approval to introduce a new enhanced homeowner insurance program into the state of North Carolina.
Under the MetLife Auto & Home Residential Property Program (RPP), agents can tailor a policy to fit an individual’s needs. For example, customers in North Carolina now will be able to bundle optional homeowner endorsements into a package.
In addition, consumers in the high end market looking for dwelling, condo or renters coverage will be able to choose from Platinum products that offer the advantages of combining certain types of attractive property coverages.
RPP became available to North Carolina customers effective Sept. 15, 2008 for new business and will begin on Dec. 15, 2008 for renewal customers.
Margery Lohmar, MetLife Auto & Home’s manager for North Carolina, said the product enhancmenrt fit with teh insorer’s objective to expand in the state.
