Jeffrey A. Vanderpool has been promoted to senior vice president and chief claims officer at Sunshine State Insurance Co. in St. Augustine, Fla.
Vanderpool has served as vice president of caims since he joined the company in 2003.
Prior to joining SSIC, Vanderpool was vice president of American Surety & Casualty Co. from l992 to 2003. Earlier, he held various claims and regulatory management posts at Hanover Insurance Co. and Dependable Insurance Group from 1984 to 1992.
Vanderpool serves on the National Advisory Council of the National Association of Independent Insurance Adjusters and the advisory board of Enservio, a firm that specializes in management of contents claims. He is a member of the Litigation Management Principles & Guidelines Committee of the Council on Litigation Management.
