Montgomery, Alabama-based Alfa Insurance has promoted Steve Rutledge to executive vice president for business development.
Rutledge, who has served as Alfa’s chief financial officer and senior vice president of investments, will oversee corporate development, marketing strategy, product development, property/casualty actuary and research activities of the company as well as provide guidance for Alfa’s Internet, call center and communications activities.
A 25-year veteran of Alfa, Rutledge began his career as a securities analyst in the investments department.
