I just recently found out about this, & happen to be ivolved, Guerette happens to be one of the people whom I have a current lease with, I am shocked & angry that this man put us in a home with the hopes of eventually owning it, & ran away with $6,000.00 just in rent not including first, last & deposits,We found him & his so called “Company” through All Free Realty in Coral Springs & paid them $2,198.00 in deposits & rents also..Just keep your Eyes open if you must rent & make sure you look at everything & check out people. So much dishonesty when people are already down on their luck! its a shame….

Sorry to hear you were taken. Today, it’s very easy to check out who actually owns a home before you rent. Anyone with access to the internet can check the county’s appraiser’s office and see who owns the home. If the names don’t match, call the police.

    Good luck in the future.

We would never have this problem in my State of residence because the only residents of this State are those who are unable to move away and those who are in prison or will soon be going there.

So what you’re saying is that when squatters apply for Homeowners insurance, you can only cover contents not the structure, right? Can they get Flood insurance?

Since the “preferred candidate” of the House leadership is also the current Atty General, I now see where his priorities lie. He just lost my vote!

The Problem with this is that everything looked so legitimate, All the paper work, the lease, The people were all very nice. I never thought for a second anything like this would happen to me & my family. We had recently lived in a house that was being forclosed on & the owner of the home never mentioned it so my husband or myself,we woke up one morning to a banging on our front door, the Sheriffs office serving us the Forclosure notice.. So we had to move & here we are facing this, No one knows where the owner of this house is. I did look up the info on the County tax appraiser & found two address for him & a number all of wich are no good.I am a at dead end at the moment & unsure which direction to move in.

Serves them right for leaving so many homes a vacant blight with unpaid taxes.

FL should reduce the squatter time from 7 years to 1 year, then the banks would have to clear their books of bad loans and upside homes.

At least the banks would be stopped from playing with home values and manipulating the real estate market and propping up unrealistic home values indefinitely.

“The economy” will never recover as long as banks can play endless games with other people’s money and property forever.

I don’t condone breaking and entering or taking claim to a property that’s being maintained, but this is a great idea! Change the law to two years and get these run-down abandoned houses out of my neighborhood!

P.S., BANK is a four-letter word. They created this mess with intent! I vote for a compete takeover of the fed and turn it into a US owned non-profit!

Except Mark didn’t run off with any of your money, he placed you in a home in which he put a great deal of money into. by now, i’m sure you realize this, but i figured i’d just throw my 2 cents in there.

    love,
mike “the mobster prince” spitaleri. p.s – i love how i find articles online about my life where the idiot reporter did not even bother to attempt to reach me for any comment on the situation. had she/he sat down with me, you’d realize how very legal adverse possession (when done correctly) is. perhaps i’ll write a book.

…DEVELOPERS like trout creek, steel ENTIRE sections of land, then the county helps them along…they are A GROUP OF COMMUNIST squatters colluding with BAYVIEW, they use their agents living in the neighborhoods TO STALK AND INTIMIDATE people to move out of their homes, then “robin straley and vericker” use their “cloak” llc’s to steal their homes using the judge to “quiet title” them the deed..

Some states require a squatter to pay taxes on the property to gain rights. In some states, like Washington, the squatter must pay you taxes for the last seven years to gain possession of the property.
