Gotta love WV, the judicial hellhole of all time. Why would a judge dismiss a claim based on the law, if there is an insurance company to fleece? Only when the pockets leave, will anybondy do anything about it.

Keeping in mind voluntary firefighters are exactly that. VOLUNTARY. These men and women put themselvs at risk every time they respond to an emergency incident. Public liability insurance for volunteers should be on a umbrella bases paid for all or in part by the state
but not by the individual firefighter. when you put your life at risk by donating your time to the welfare and safety of others it should not cost the individual firefighter to do so.
At last report I have not seen or heard of any insurance companies going broke. Homes, vehicles, lives, etc are all insured with the hopes of never having to use them. Volunteer fire departments are no different they are there if you need them and do the best job they can with what they have. To deny them liability coverage means the fire department has to shut down with the community they serve picking up the tab for the increase in insurance premiums which does not include fire protection. After all there is more to fire departments than putting water on a fire.
